Founded in 1987, Midland BioProducts Corporation is located on 90 acres of farm land in Boone, Iowa. We are a manufacturer and supplier of polyclonal antisera and specific plasma protein calibrators and controls.

Our primary emphasis has been selling our antisera and calibrators in bulk quantities to immunodiagnostic manufacturers for human and veterinary use.

In 1999, MBC diversified to include tests for measuring the IgG levels in either the plasma or whole blood of newborn calves. The product line now include plasma or whole blood tests for measuring passive immunity in newborn foal, and testing the IgG content in bovine colostrum. These tests can be done barn side with results in 10 to 20 minutes. Suitable for both veterinarians and producers. The tests have a 3 year shelf llife from date of manufacture, and need no refrigeration.

With the recent incidence of BSE in bovine, MBC is now introducing the midland Quick Test format to measure Bovine IgG in porcine plasma and sheep and goat milk.
